THE Story Behind the Invention
Inventor Kasey Cramer of MI has created a shield that rests on the head like a headband to protect the hair from makeup primer, setting spray, sunscreen, self-tanner, and more!
With curly hair, Kasey found herself constantly putting her arm around her hairline while applying setting spray to her face to prevent it from becoming frizzy or damp after straightening or styling her hair. Nothing is worse than adding your final touches, only to mess up your hairstyle in the process! Kasey just knew there had to be a better way. In turn, she was inspired to develop the Hair Shield!
The invention is worn like a headband and forms a lightweight and flexible covering for the hair. Once the headband is placed on the head near the hairline, a shield is formed to protect the hair from any finishing sprays that need to be applied before heading out the door. In addition to daily consumer use, the invention will also be useful for wedding parties and events, where makeup is done after one’s hair.
